Is your internet speed or Dentisoft slowing down?
Your internet speed has many facets: (a) your internet carrier’s speed, (b) your router size/speed, (c) the size and quality of your internal network, (d) the set-up of your firewall, (e) your computer’s age/ speed, as well as (f) viruses and ad-ware. Other internet accessing applications can also steal internet speed from your network (e.g. toolbars, Gadgets, iTunes, internet radio, remote desktop, Citrix, etc).
Dentisoft will run best under the following situation:
2. Your internet speed should be at least 500k (up and down)..click on Internet Speed Test to test your own connection. Sharing an internet connection with many computers can also slow down your performance.
3. Your computer should be no more than 3 years old, with at least 512 RAM and a 50 gigabyte hard drive. It should also be running WindowsXP or Vista (Windows 95/98, Windows SE, and Windows 2000 are no longer supported by Microsoft, and as a result, may not work correctly with Internet Explorer.)
4. Your screen resolution should be set to 1024X768 or higher. Your graphics card can sometimes be insufficient for certain graphic elements of Dentisoft.
5. When using Internet Explorer version 7 (tabbed browsing), other websites should be opened in their own browser (rather than opening them in another tab).
